Individual Psychotherapy

Individual psychotherapy, also known as talk therapy, provides a private, supportive space for individuals to explore and address personal challenges, emotional struggles, and mental health concerns. Private psychotherapy offers personalized support to help individuals gain insight, develop coping skills, and work towards healing and personal growth.

Suzanne has been counselling individuals, couples and families for more than 30 years and is highly skilled in psychotherapy treatment modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Brief Solution Focused Therapy (BSFT), Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). Relational Life Therapy (RLT) and Gestalt Therapy.

Suzanne collaborates with her clients to identify the root causes of distress, develop strategies to manage emotions, and improve overall mental well-being. Whether addressing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, or self-esteem concerns, individual therapy focuses on creating a safe and empathetic environment where clients can express themselves freely, understand their emotions, develop new skills and practices and gain clarity on their goals.

By fostering a trusting therapeutic relationship, individual psychotherapy empowers individuals to make lasting changes, enhance self-awareness, and improve their quality of life. The journey is unique to each individual, and the therapy process is tailored to meet specific needs and objectives.

Couples Psychotherapy

“Are you feeling frustrated in your relationship?”

“Are you having the same conversation over and over again?”

“Have you tried everything you can think of and still nothing changes?”

Suzanne uses a positive strength-based approach in all of our work. Her goal is for you to see results quickly and feel empowered and encouraged. In couples work, Suzanne uses the above modalities listed for individual psychotherapy, as well as a particular theoretical model called Relational Life Therapy as well as Gottman's Relationship Theory.
